Sustain and Enhance the Capacity of Teaching and Research
With the aid of GAANN fellowships, Georgia State will attract outstanding students to our CIS program, from underrepresented groups with financial needs, who have expressed an interest in teaching and research careers in this critically important area of national need. Through carefully mentored research and teaching experiences by outstanding faculty, and professional-development workshops, seminars, and colloquia, we will nurture this initial student interest as we develop their expertise in and enthusiasm for CIS. Finally, the project director and CIS faculty will assist in obtaining placement in teaching and research positions upon graduation.
