Vijay Vaishnavi has been a faculty member at Georgia State since 1981.  His current research interests include: 
(a) Information Integration and Web Mining (semantic interoperability; directory services; web-based virtual communities; workflow coordination; process knowledge management; information security benchmark data); 
(b) Software Development (process management knowledge reuse, object-oriented metrics; software specifications; process maturity; knowledge based systems; object modeling and design);
(c) Data Structures and Algorithms (genetic algorithms; multi-sensor networks and data fusion).
